Can I get rid of Parking Tickets in a Bankruptcy?

Parking tickets are treated differently than most other bills in a bankruptcy. They are not dischargeable because, think about it, it is a debt that you owe to a municipality like your town or city. Any debt owed to a government (inlcuding a local government) is not dischargeable in bankruptcy. Think about it- the government wrote the bankruptcy laws so it is not surprising that they write themselves out of it. Don't put your license at risk or rack up fines for not paying them. Discuss with your bankruptcy lawyer the best way to go about doing this.
