I am selling my house. When do I have to move out?

The timing of your move- out can be negotiated, but 99% of the time a buyer is going to insist on getting the keys turned over at the end of the closing.  All of your personal belongings should be out of the house and the home should be in broom-swept condition. Ideally, your stuff should be out of the house by the time the buyer is scheduled to do a final walk through which is usually done the morning of closing or sometimes the day before.
